Brief description The design of this banknote is dedicated to the monarchy and the historical and cultural heritage of Jordan. The banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Jordan during the reign of King Hussein bin Talal and was later demonetized. The note size is 131 by 62 mm.

Obverse: A portrait of King Hussein bin Talal wearing a kuffiyeh. The inscriptions in Arabic indicate the name of the state (The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), the issuing bank, and the denomination "نصف دينار" (Half Dinar).

Reverse: An image of the Qusayr Amra fortress. The inscriptions are in Arabic and Latin: "QUSAYR AMRA" and "HALF DINAR".

Security elements and substrate: The banknote was printed on specialized paper by De La Rue (United Kingdom). The watermark features a portrait of King Hussein wearing a kuffiyeh.
