Brief description The design of this banknote reflects the period of Croatia's restored state independence, focusing on prominent figures of science and national architectural symbols of the country.

Obverse: The central focal point of the composition is a portrait of Ruđer Bošković, an eminent 18th-century Croatian polymath, mathematician, astronomer, and physicist. In the upper right section, geometric calculations are depicted, symbolizing his scientific legacy. The state name, denomination, and the signature of the Minister of Finance are also positioned on the front.

Reverse: The back features the Zagreb Cathedral (Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saints Stephen and Ladislaus), a monumental Roman Catholic church in the Gothic Revival style, which serves as one of the primary landmarks of the Croatian capital.

Watermark: A repeated pattern of lozenges distributed across the entire area of the banknote paper.

Topical Collecting Themes: Prominent world scientists, mathematicians, and astronomers (Ruđer Bošković), exact sciences (geometry, physics), sacred architecture and cathedrals (Zagreb Cathedral, Gothic style), inaugural issues of newly independent states, banknotes of the Balkan region.
