Brief description The 1992 1 kroon banknote represents the first series of Estonian currency issued following the restoration of independence and the exit from the ruble zone. It was printed by the United States Banknote Company in New York.

Obverse: Features a portrait of the Estonian artist Kristjan Raud (1865–1943), engraved by Urmas Ploomipuu.

Reverse: Depicts Toompea Castle and the "Tall Hermann" tower in Tallinn.

Technical Specifications: Measures 140 × 70 mm. Issued by Eesti Pank (Bank of Estonia). Security features include a security thread reading "EESTI PANK" visible under backlight. The note was demonetized in January 2011.
