Brief description The design of this banknote captures the architectural heritage of the Islamic world and the ecological diversity of Yemen, integrating a UNESCO World Heritage site with the nation's protected natural landscapes.

Obverse: The central focal point features the historic town of Zabid (Zabid Castle/Fortress) in the Al Hudaydah Governorate, a prominent landmark of medieval military and spiritual architecture. The background presents an intricate security underprint dominated by yellow, orange-brown, and grey tones. The outline of a mosque is integrated as a latent image.

Reverse: The composition focuses on the country's natural heritage, portraying the mountainous landscape of Hauf National Park in the Al-Mahrah Governorate. On the right, the visual layout is complemented by the decorated prayer niche (mihrab) from the historic Queen Arwa Mosque.

Watermark: The state emblem of the Republic of Yemen (the golden eagle) accompanied by a localized electrotype of the denomination in Eastern Arabic numerals.

Topical Collecting Themes: Medieval architecture and fortifications (Zabid Citadel), UNESCO World Heritage sites, national parks and global reserves (landscapes, flora), Islamic sacred art (mosque mihrabs, latent iconography), banknotes of the Middle East, currency printed by Goznak.
