Stylized Romanesque columns from the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec are positioned on both sides of the denarius. Includes the official legal tender statement text.

Watermark: Image of Prince Mieszko I and the denomination "10".

Dimensions: 120 × 60 mm.

Why add to your collection: This banknote represents the first denomination of the National Bank of Poland series dedicated to the country's historic rulers. The artwork was designed by the renowned Polish graphic artist Andrzej Heidrich. The reverse design offers an excellent combination of numismatic and notaphilic themes by featuring one of the earliest Polish medieval coins. Replacement notes in this series are distinguished by serial numbers starting with the letter "Y". Suitable for specialized collections: European banknotes, princes and rulers, religious architecture (Romanesque style and columns), and coins on currency.
