Brief description This banknote honors the monarchical traditions and exquisite architecture of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The color scheme and artistic details emphasize the grandeur of the nation's history.

Obverse: The main focal point features a portrait of the reigning King Norodom Sihamoni as a young man. The composition is enriched by the royal arms of Cambodia and a depiction of the mythical serpent Naga, a powerful symbol of protection and fertility in Khmer culture.

Reverse: The back showcases prominent landmarks of the capital, Phnom Penh. It depicts the Preah Thineang Chan Chhaya (Moonlight Pavilion) of the Royal Palace. Beside it is a rendering of Paul Ducuing’s statue of King Sisowath, which is preserved in the National Museum of Cambodia.

Watermark: The paper features a local watermark depicting an elegant floral pattern.

Why add to your collection: This note serves as a classic representation of Khmer artistry and modern monarchy. It is highly suitable for topical collections centered on world royalty and monarchs, classic Asian architecture (palaces and museums), mythology (the Naga serpent), or sculptures on currency.
