Brief description This 200 Ouguiya banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Mauritania in 2013 and was demonetized on January 1, 2019. The banknote measures 134 by 65 mm.

Obverse: The note features geometric and ornamental designs with native motifs. Inscriptions in Arabic indicate the bank's name and the denomination "مائتي أوقية ٢٠٠" (Two Hundred Ouguiya).

Reverse: Depicts a decorated pestle and mortar, a dugout canoe, a palm tree, and a balancing perch pole. Inscriptions in French provide the bank's name and a legal warning regarding the counterfeiting of banknotes.

Security elements and substrate: The banknote was printed by Giesecke+Devrient (Germany). Under backlight, the security strip reveals the repeated text "BCM 200". A watermark is included as a security feature.
