Features
Brief description This set contains three paper banknotes in denominations of 10, 20, and 50 Rupees.

Obverse: A common feature across all three denominations is the depiction of Mount Everest on the left. The center of each note displays religious architecture and symbols: the 10 Rupees features Changunarayan on Garuda; the 20 Rupees features the Krishna Temple and a metal statue of Garuda on a pillar in Patan Durbar Square; the 50 Rupees features the Ram Janaki Temple.

Reverse: Dedicated to regional fauna. The 10 Rupees portrays a Black Buck antelope beneath the Central Bank logo; the 20 Rupees displays a Sambar deer against the Himalayan mountains; the 50 Rupees depicts a Snow Leopard in a mountainous landscape.

Watermark: For all denominations — the Rhododendron (Nepal's national flower).

Dimensions: 133 × 70 mm (10 Rupees), 139 × 70 mm (20 Rupees), 142 × 70 mm (50 Rupees).

Why add to your collection: This set showcases the contemporary currency system of alpine Nepal. Printed by leading security firms De La Rue and Perum Peruri, the banknotes incorporate security threads with the microtext "NRB". This lot is suitable for specialized topical collections: world currencies of Asia, fauna and wildlife (felids, deer, antelopes), religious architecture (temples of the world), and geography (mountains on banknotes).
