Brief description This numismatic set comprises the three highest denominations (50, 100, and 200 Leva) from the historic series of the People's Republic of Bulgaria (second lev), printed by "Goznak". These notes circulated for just over a decade before being completely demonetized in the spring of 1962 during a monetary reform. The notes feature a cascading increase in physical size (from 157×80 mm to 175×90 mm) and share a unified design concept combining socialist realism with traditional agrarian labor.

Obverse: All three banknotes share a strict asymmetrical layout. The left side features a detailed portrait of the communist leader Georgi Dimitrov, the right side displays the contemporary state coat of arms, and the wide white margin contains a decorative shield framing the respective denomination numeral (50, 100, or 200). The Cyrillic inscriptions state the state's official name, "People's Republic of Bulgaria."

Reverse: The back designs are dedicated to Bulgaria's rich agricultural heritage and traditional rural labor. The 50 Leva note depicts a woman in national costume picking roses, the 100 Leva note illustrates a grapevine harvest, and the 200 Leva note displays workers harvesting tobacco leaves. A formal legal inscription states that the currency is backed by precious metals and central bank assets.

Security Features & Substrate: Printed on high-grade security paper featuring distinct Soviet-style localized watermarks. The 50 Leva note utilizes a "BNB" monogram paired with a sickle and hammer, while the 100 and 200 Leva notes incorporate a more complex watermark design showcasing two hands holding a sickle and hammer.
