Brief description The design of this banknote is dedicated to the national leader Aung San, state symbols, and the country's architectural heritage. The banknote was issued during the Socialist Republic of the Union of Burma period and was later demonetized. The note size is 154 by 74 mm.

Obverse: A portrait of General Aung San and an image of a peacock (or the mythical Hinthar bird). The inscriptions are in Burmese script and Brahmi script, indicating the issuing bank and the denomination — "သုံးဆယ့်ငါးကျပ်" (Thirty Five Kyats).

Reverse: An image of a wood carving detail featuring an angel (Nat) from the door of the Shwe In Bin Monastery in Mandalay. A Hinthar bird is also depicted. Inscriptions in Latin script indicate the denomination "THIRTY FIVE KYATS" and the bank name "UNION OF BURMA BANK".

Security elements and substrate: The banknote is printed on specialized banknote paper. The watermark features a portrait of General Aung San.

Collection themes: Historical figures (Aung San), state symbols and mythical birds (peacock/Hinthar), architectural landmarks (Shwe In Bin Monastery), religious carving (Nat), demonetized banknotes.
