Brief description The visual layout of this banknote seamlessly blends the symbols of early 20th-century national liberation with the nomadic culture and historic statehood of the Mongol Empire. Issued during the modern Republic era, this 5 Tögrög note is produced on a paper substrate. The dimensions of the note are 120 x 60 mm. The inscriptions on the front are written in the traditional vertical Mongolian script, while the back features the Mongolian language in the Cyrillic alphabet.

Obverse: The front features a prominent portrait of Damdin Sükhbaatar, a founding member of the Mongolian People's Party and a key military leader of the 1921 revolution who led the partisan army that liberated Khüree. To the right of his portrait is the National Coat of Arms of Mongolia, alongside a depiction of a Paiza (Gerege) — a tablet of authority and official passport carried by Mongol envoys and nobles during the height of the Empire.

Reverse: The back depicts a classic, tranquil Mongolian rural landscape. The central vignette showcases a herd of horses grazing peacefully in a wide valley set against a background of rugged mountain ranges. The top section features the inscription "МОНГОЛ УЛС" (State of Mongolia), followed by the official title of the central bank, "МОНГОЛБАНК", and the 5 Tögrög denomination.

Security Features & Substrate: Manufactured on high-quality security paper. The primary protective element is a localized watermark depicting Genghis Khan (Chingis Khaan), the historic founder and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. The banknote's defensive layout also includes specialized microprinting, fluorescent properties under ultraviolet light (UV activity), and distinct serial numbering.

Topical Collecting Themes: National heroes and revolutionary leaders (Damdin Sükhbaatar), founders of empires (Genghis Khan watermark), fauna and animals on currency (horses grazing in steppes), mountain and valley landscapes, medieval history and diplomatic artifacts (Paiza / Gerege), state heraldry (National Coat of Arms), traditional vertical Mongolian script, banknotes with Cyrillic text, paper currency of Asia.
