Brief description This 5000 Cordobas banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Nicaragua (Banco Central de Nicaragua) in 1985 and was later demonetized.

Main features: The banknote is made of paper and measures 156 by 67 mm.

Obverse design: Multicolor print. It features a portrait of General Benjamín Zeledón on the right. It also includes the issuer's name, face value, serial numbers, and signatures of officials. A perfect match device featuring the Momotus lessonii bird is located on the upper left.

Reverse design: Multicolor print. The building of the National Assembly is depicted at the center.

Security elements: Watermark of General Augusto Cesar Sandino and an internal thin security strip to the left of the center.

Production: The note was printed by Thomas de la Rue Company Limited (London, United Kingdom).
