Brief description The design of this transitional series banknote (Iran Cheque) reflects the religious architectural heritage and rich literary traditions of Persia. A distinct feature of this note is its dual-denomination display, aligned with the ongoing monetary reform: the prominent numbers show the value in Tomans, while the official currency unit in Rials is indicated in full text.

Obverse: The primary vignette features the Agha Bozorg Mosque, a renowned historical complex located in Kashan. The Persian inscriptions include the official title of the issuing authority «بانک مرکزی جمهوری اسلامی ایران» (Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran) and the note type «ایران چک» (Iran Check). The simplified numeral «500» (Tomans) is placed in the corners, accompanied by the full textual denomination «پنج میلیون ریال» (Five Million Rials).

Reverse: The reverse depicts the grand mausoleum of the legendary poet Ferdowsi, the author of the epic "Shahnameh," located in Tus. All text is in the Latin script, featuring the issuing bank «CENTRAL BANK OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN» and «IRAN CHEQUE». The corners display both the full «5000000» and simplified «500» numerals, along with the text denomination «FIVE MILLION RIALS».
