It is dedicated to a rare species of carnivorous mammals of the Kunitz family - the common peregrine fox, an endangered species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. The Peregrine fox is a predator of our country's fauna with a colorful coloration. In Ukraine, it is distributed in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It lives in the burrows of virgin steppes. It rarely comes to the surface at night or at dusk.
The obverse of the coin is framed by a wreath made up of images of certain species of flora and fauna, and features the small State Emblem of Ukraine and the inscription: UKRAINE/10/HRYVNIA/2017.
The reverse of the coins depicts a diaper in color using tampon printing and features semicircular inscriptions: VORMELA PEREGUSNA (above), PEREHUZNIA (below). .
