The past four months, from March to July 2025, have been another productive period in my role as Vice-President of the Ukrainian Chapter of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS). During this time, I continued to work on promoting numismatics in Ukraine, strengthening the position of IBNS Ukraine, and contributing to the development of the international community. Below are the key achievements of this period.

Achievements Over the Last 4 Months

  1. Nomination of a Banknote for the "Banknote of the Year 2025" Competition
This year, I participated for the second time in the prestigious international "Banknote of the Year" competition, nominating a vibrant and unique 200-guilder banknote issued by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten. This banknote has drawn attention due to its design and cultural significance, highlighting the importance of the Caribbean region in numismatics. My nomination was officially submitted to IBNS, and I am hopeful that the banknote will pass the nomination stage and enter the voting process, which will begin in February 2026.

  2. Active Management of IBNS International Community Social Media Profiles
In addition to reviving and actively managing the international IBNS profile on Twitter (X), I began administering the official IBNS page on Facebook. This has significantly expanded the audience reach, attracted new followers, and strengthened the community’s online presence. Through regular posts of news, banknote reviews, and educational content, the IBNS pages have become a vital source of information for collectors and anyone interested in numismatics worldwide.

  3. Expansion of the Thematic Banknote Collection
Over the past 4 months, I added 25 new banknotes from the IBNS "Banknote of the Year" nominee list, starting from 2004. As a result, my thematic collection has grown to 112 items. This achievement not only enriched my collection but also deepened my knowledge of the history and design of banknotes from various countries.

  4. Writing Educational and Analytical Articles
I continued to create high-quality content for the numismatic community, publishing:

    • 2 educational articles:

      • An article on banknote grading, in which I explained in detail the principles of assessing banknote conditions and their significance for collectors.

      • An article on companies producing polymer and paper banknotes, analyzing key players in the market and their innovations.

    • 9 articles on new banknote releases: these articles cover new numismatic releases from various countries, providing detailed reviews of design, technology, and cultural context.
All articles are available for reading on my website, where I aim to share knowledge with other collectors and promote numismatics.

  5. Announcement of an Important Project
I have begun working on an initiative that I believe will have a significant impact on all 2,000 IBNS members worldwide. For now, I am keeping the details under wraps, but I look forward to sharing the results in my annual report, which will be published in mid-November 2025. This project is an important step for me personally and for the development of the entire community.

Conclusion

The past four months have been eventful and fruitful. I continue to work on strengthening IBNS Ukraine’s position, promoting numismatics, and creating high-quality content for collectors. My goal remains unchanged: to develop the community, attract new members, and contribute to the international growth of IBNS. There are many ambitious plans ahead, and I am confident that together we will continue to build the future of numismatics!
